Summits
Multi-Sector Conversations about Our Biggest Challenges — and Our Greatest Opportunities.

A Year-Round Dialouge
At the core of the Tom Tom Foundation’s work is a simple belief: solutions emerge when leaders come together across backgrounds, ideologies, and sectors to discuss problems and design new paths forward.
Tom Tom Summits are facilitated, year-long conversations that bring together changemakers from government, education, business, and the nonprofit world to collaborate on Charlottesville’s most pressing issues. Summits leverage the in-person convenings at the Tom Tom Festival, to pursue a series of working sessions throughout the year that turn ideas into action.

ReEntry Summit
This 2024 Summit was a first-of-its-kind event for the criminal justice community to better coordinate resources to help those returning to society from jail and prison, and raise awareness in the general public. Spanning three summits, working groups generated over 35 pages of data, and ultimately issued a report to local municipalities with cross-sector recommendations.
