Tom Tom Announces Community Events at Tomtoberfest

7th Annual Tomtoberfest – Community Events this Saturday Day long festival celebrates the groups that build Charlottesville

Charlottesville, VA (September 25, 2018) —Tom Tom announces the schedule for Tomtoberfest 2018, taking place this Saturday, September 29, from 12:00pm to 11:00pm at the IX Art Park. In collaboration with WTJU’s Freefall Concert Series, these events will celebrate Charlottesville based organizations, including Community and Tech Mixers, a CIC Showcase, and a Craft Cville pop-up market.

Tom Tom will also launch initiatives of the 2019 spring festival, which will focus on building better hometowns with the help of community groups (like those highlighted at Tomtoberfest) that enhance and define Charlottesville. “Tom Tom has continued to refine its program and mission around the work of building small cities, and exploring the diversity of people, industries, and disciplines that are required to make a thriving hometown,” said Tom Tom founder and executive director Paul Beyer. “Charlottesville has always been for us both a home and an inspiration in those dialogues.”

Community Mixer, IX Art Park, 12:00-4:00pm – Featuring over 40 local groups, the Community Mixer will showcase the nonprofits and companies building Charlottesville. These organizations tackle a wide range of issues from education (100 Black Men) to health and wellness (Virginia Institute for Autism) to housing (Piedmont Housing Alliance).
