The 13th Annual Tom Tom Festival is fast approaching, and we can’t wait to celebrate Music, Art, and Ideas that help tell the story of our community’s future. This year, we’re looking to spotlight the UVA Student Voice, and we want YOU to be part of it!
The Tom Tom Festival is all about coming together and co-creating. Whether you’re a performer, artist, or organizer with an idea to share, there are plenty of ways for UVA students to get involved, showcase your creativity, and make an impact. Ready to take part in the celebration? Here’s how you can help shape the future of Charlottesville:
1. Volunteer or Join a Team!
Want to be at the heart of the action? Help us make this year's Festival unforgettable by becoming a Volunteer or a Team Member! Get involved with behind-the-scenes logistics, interact with festival-goers, and play a key role in making the festival a success. Are you in a service CIO or Fraternity and need volunteer hours? We can help with that. Looking to make a little extra cash after Spring Break and before finals? We can help there too. Both options, volunteer and paid, include an All Access Badge to the Conference and Festival— a great opportunity for networking and social engagement with the wider community.
2. Perform or Be an Artist at Our Block Party
Do you have a talent you want to share? We’re looking for performers, musicians, dancers, and artists to bring their energy to what we hope to build out as our UVA Stage at the Downtown Mall Block Party on Friday, April 18th and Saturday, April 19th. This is your chance to showcase your skills and creativity in front of a vibrant crowd. Whether you're performing solo or as part of a group, we want to hear from you!
3. Create Your Own Community Partner Program Event
Have an idea for an event that highlights UVA’s culture, creativity, or community spirit? The Community Partner Program allows UVA students, faculty, and organizations to host events during the Festival, from April 16-20.
This is your chance to bring a new idea, performance, workshop, or gathering to life on Grounds! Last year, the community celebrated everything from art installations to sunrise meditations, and we want to make sure this year includes your vision. Whether it's a lecture, a meetup, a creative morning, or a collaborative project, let us know what you have in mind.
