Charlottesville, VA (August, 4, 2017) — Tom Tom’s third annual Tech Mixer will return on Friday, September 22 during the Tomtoberfest Block Party, assembling The region’s hottest firms and most innovative companies. Companies of all stages will mix with investors, entrepreneurs, and top talent from across the Mid-Atlantic. This outdoor pop-up innovation district in the heart of the Block Party and in the midst of a crowd of 5,000 attendees will showcase new technologies, connect national leaders in diverse industries, and introduce recruiters to top talent. The event is co-hosted by acac Fitness and Wellness Centers and i.Lab at UVA.
New this year is Startup Row, an initiative that will expand the Tech Mixer to feature seed-stage startups and promising student ventures in Charlottesville and the surrounding area. Participation in Startup Row is free. Of the 100+ exhibitors projected this Fall, 30 of them are expected to be scholarship driven. The event is free to attend. Job seekers and networkers can register and submit resumes, and businesses and recruiters can host a tent at the Tech Mixer and have access to the resume book by sponsoring the event as exhibitors.
This Tech Mixer will mark the final event of the inaugural Fall Forum, a day-long convening of 500 young visionaries and established leaders in Virginia, exploring the opportunities faced by the Commonwealth’s communities and key industries today, from renewable energy to cultural investment.
