Charlottesville, VA—Tom Tom Founders Festival announced today highlights for the last day of the 2017 Festival, which started on Monday, April 10 through today, Sunday, April 16.
Sunday Block Party, Lee Park, 2:30-8pm – Our open air block parties in Historic Downtown Charlottesville showcase the best in music, art, tech, and local food. Sunday’s block part features music by Michael Coleman, Kendall Street Company, the Will Overman Band & Chamomile and Whiskey, a Food Truck Rally, and Artisanal Tom Tom Vendors.
Public Art Bike Ride, Lee Park, 3-5pm – An annual tour of Charlottesville’s public art, including the new additions to Tom Tom’s 2017 Mural Project.
Porchella, Belmont, 7-10pm – series of free acoustic front porch concerts and jam sessions that close out Tom Tom on Sunday evening in this historic Belmont neighborhood featuring: The Blenders, The Weedeaters, Ragged Mountain String Band, Los Hombres Medicados, Gina Sobel, A University of Whales, Together SOUL, The Ragnarockers, Larkspur, Michael Coleman, and Tequila Mockingbird.
Farm to Table Restaurant Week, Various Locations, 5-11pm – Participating restaurants will feature a special dinner menu that highlights local food artisans and producers.
Craft Cocktail Competition, Various Locations, 5-11pm – Top bartenders create specialty “Tom Tom” cocktails, featuring local spirits and ingredients. Patrons will vote for their favorites throughout the week, and a panel of judges will also crown a winner.
City as Canvas: Mural Project, Various Locations – In its fourth year, Tom Tom’s 2017 Mural Project will transform underutilized spaces into public art–the embodiment of Tom Tom’s “City as Canvas” initiative.
Office Hours Mentoring Series, During the week of Tom Tom, established professionals in a variety of industries take aspiring entrepreneurs and creative individuals out for coffee at Grit Cafe and one-on-one mentorship.
