The Season 5 Recap of SUN/SETS

A Beautiful Season of Mindfulness, Creativity and Connection

In 2024, we celebrated five years of SUN/SETS: epic dance gatherings, mindful meditations, and creative connections that bring people together in ways that matter on some of the most beautiful farms and estates in Virginia. 

Over four events, we welcomed 1,072 attendees to SUN/SETS - over half of whom joined through scholarships and donations. SUN/SETS remains one of the most accessible events in Charlottesville - and we’re grateful to everyone that has contributed to build the series and bring incredible energy to Charlottesville.

2024 Budget

One of the commitments this year with the Host Committee and Tom Tom Foundation is to provide transparency into the financials of how we make these events happen. The short answer is: a lot of community involvement and dedication!

It is significant to note: the SUN/SETS series benefited from over $30,000+ of discounted, volunteer, and inkind contributions, making up nearly 40% of the total series.

While we closed out last season with a fiscal loss, our hearts are full. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who showed up, whether by attending, volunteering, or sharing your talents. These events are powered by community, and your energy made them unforgettable. We’re heading into 2025 inspired and motivated to keep this momentum going - together. Let’s keep building something incredible!
