This year the 3rd annual Downtown Mall Block Party will include the entire Downtown Mall AND the Ting Pavilion. To keep Charlottesville dancing into the night, Fridays After Five will host a Tom Tom supercharged lineup with performances from Theocles, The Falsies and a headlining performance by No BS! Brass Band. All this and much more!

FRIDAYS AFTER FIVE WITH NO BS! BRASS BAND
Fridays After Five, an iconic part of Charlottesville's music scene, is returning for a 36th season of free live music and fun! For Tom Tom, a supercharged lineup will feature performances from Theocles and The Falsies. Capping off the night will be a headlining performance by RVA's No BS! Brass Band to keep Charlottesville dancing into the night. Based in Richmond, Virginia, No BS! Brass Band has quickly earned a reputation as a premiere band to see for heart-pounding energy and uncontrollable dancing. Embracing the spirit of New Orleans, they fearlessly combineelements of James Brown, John Coltrane, Michael Jackson, and Led Zeppelin into their fiercely original sound.
KENDALL STREET COMPANY
On Saturday night, local heros Kendall Street Company will cap off the The Will Richey Stage with a special two hour set!
The genre-fluid, eclectic rock ensemble has drawn varied comparisons to the dynamic jams of Umphrey's McGee and Widespread Panic, songwriting of John Prine, experimental psychedelia of Pink Floyd, progressive jazz-infused rock of Frank Zappa, and off-color humor of Ween and They Might Be Giants. Including elements of crowd participation, off-the-cuff comedic bits, haphazard choreography, musical improvisation, and surprise musical guests, each Kendall Street Company concert is an experience unlike any other.
2 NIGHTS! LATIN DANCE STAGE
Prepare to dance! Central Stage will feature two days of Latin partner dance with some of Charlottesville’s favorite social dance hosts, dancers, and instructors. On Friday, join Foreign Playerz for salsa & bachata and performances from the talented Gia Ray. On Saturday C’Ville Bachata Social presents a day of dance lessons and dance sessions. Learn how to salsa, bachata, and zouk, then show off your skills as you dance the night away! Foreign Playerz and C’Ville Bachata Social are both organizations founded on the principles of inclusivity and education. Promoting the love and appreciation of Latin dance and culture by providing a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment.
R&B & Dance Stage
Friday night kicks off at the West Stage for a 3rd Annual R&B and Dance Stage curated by local favorites DJ FlatlineLay and DJ DoubleU. They’ll be joined by dance performances from Elite Empire, D.N.D Dancers, AKAdeMiX Dance Crew as well as hip hop performances from many Charlottesville favorites. DJ FlatlineLay and DJ Double U are fixtures on our local dance floors and with longtime presence on numerous radio stations and industry events in Cville and DC. They collectively inspire theDJ crew Hurt City and are mentors to many local DJs.
RUSTY IRIS & FRIENDS OF CVILLE FAMILY STAGE
Located at the 4th Street Crossing, the family and performance stage features Charlottesville favorites in an engaging and interactive setting.
Come explore the Rusty Iris Art Bus - try some hula hooping or fire spinning props (fire not included!). Hang out to witness Capoeira & fire performances all night. Stop by Saturday afternoon for a Silent Disco - dance and party on The Art Bus! Explore movement and creativity in this unique and interactive stage that encourages you to collaborate and celebrate.

What's this silent disco thing about? Come see for yourself at the Silent Disco on the Downtown Mall! This is not your average dance party – it's an immersive audio experience! Grab a pair of silent disco headphones with different music channels and volume control. Switch between channels to find your favorite tunes and dance like there's no tomorrow.
