New World, New Justice Marquee Talk
We are excited to announce that our New World, New Justice Marquee (September 22 @4 PM) will feature CNN Political Correspondent, Bakari Sellers and Director of Health Policy and Equity at the University of Virginia, Dr. Cameron Webb.
Bakari Sellers became the youngest Black elected official in the country at the age of 22, as a representative for South Carolina’s 90th district outside of Charleston. At 37, Cameron Webb (D; VA-05) would be the first Black physician to have a vote in the U.S. Congress.
Join Sellers and Webb as they explore election season, fatherhood, and the spirit of the rural South in this week’s Marquee Talk. If you can, take a moment with Sellers’ New York Times Bestseller, “My Vanishing Country: A Memoir” (on sale May 19, 2020) in advance of the conversation.
