If you’re seeking tools for personal growth or simply want to slow down and connect, this selection of community-led events held April 22–26 highlights practical ways to cultivate individual and collective well being.

SAT Apr 25 @ 10am–4pm
Learn practices and strategies to deepen wellness, age healthfully, process grief, and develop financial confidence through a set of six workshops led by community members. Held at Common House, this day requires free registration.

THUR Apr 23, 1pm–3pm
Embrace the you beneath the noise with a mindful stress break against the soothing mountain backdrop of Eastwood Farm and Winery. Bring your own mat, blanket, chair, and bug spray for this outdoor event.

People living with dementia share their stories, inviting an exploration of how every person touched by the condition can continue to live and participate fully in the daily life of the community. Presented by Blue Ridge Respite at Live Arts.

Caregiving for someone who has dementia requires love and courage–especially the courage to care for oneself. Gain insights and practical tips from healthcare experts to sustain your own well-being. Presented by Blue Ridge Respite at Live Arts.

Cancer survivors invite you to explore the moments that demand courage long after cancer treatment begins. They’ll be at the Opal Lounge, sharing insights about navigating challenges like parenting, finances, and decision-making during and after treatment.

FRI Apr 24, 6am–7am
Lace up your shoes, grab your water bottle, and meet up at the Jefferson School City Center to walk or run at your pace. It’s the season opener for the Prolyfyck Run Crew, a supportive and proactive group of local runners who put community before competition.
FRI Apr 24, 10am-11:30am
Life coach Dan Elash shares his secret to shedding regrets and nurturing contentment. Located at The Center at Belvedere, this session is free to attend but seating is limited and registration is required.

SUN Apr 26, 1pm–2pm
Gather in Market Street Park for an intentional movement practice in the open air led by the Charlottesville Tai Chi Center. This workshop may be practiced seated or standing.
SUN Apr 26, 2pm–3:30pm
Join trained facilitators for small group explorations to move past fear toward openness, understanding, and a vision that reframes the prospect of death as an opportunity for connection and intentional living. Hosted by Hospice of the Piedmont at Kardinal Hall, this event will blend humor, humanity, and practical tools.
