Congratulations to the 2018 Cville Gives winner, Charlottesville Abundant Life Ministries. This year, we saw five semi-finalists pitch before members, citizens, and their community, vying for votes and pledges of support through funding, for affordable housing ventures. Three Notch’d was full to the brim of an audience eager to support the teams!
Members’ Pick:
Charlottesville Abundant Life Ministries received a $10,000 grant from Cville Gives members, and a total of $27,036 was raised for Charlottesville nonprofits that focus on affordable housing.
Abundant Life Ministries They believe in whole-family, holistic ministry, with incentive-based programming that spans from Kindergarten to senior citizens. Through long-term, lasting relationships with parents, children, and residents, they demonstrate the love of God and encourage positive community development.
Cville Gives:
Cville Gives is a philanthropic networking club made up of locals pooling resources and efforts to make a greater impact on the community of Charlottesville. The theme of the finalists’ businesses and efforts this year was affordable housing.
Grant Night Just over $27,000 was raised through audience donations, membership, and matching contributions from Posner Wealth Management of Davenport & Company LLC. Five finalists competed for grants through Cville Gives.
