Latin Social Dancing & Performances

FOREIGN PLAYERZ is a dynamic and vibrant organization that specializes in creating social dance events for Latin dances such as bachata, salsa, zouk, Cumbia, merengue, and many other types of Latin dance. Founded by passionate, Foreign Playerz aims to promote the love and appreciation of Latin dance and culture by providing a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and skill levels.

UVA Salsa Club Has been spicing up the UVA community by leading the way in promoting and teaching Latin dance. As one of the largest Latin dance clubs on the East Coast, the University Salsa Club is at the forefront of bringing vibrant and energetic dance styles to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.

Mambo Bones Salsa Dance Studio in Richmond, Virginia, is a vibrant community where rhythm and connection thrive. They believe salsa is a universal language, offering a joyful expression of culture accessible to all. Their mission is to ignite passion for salsa through welcoming classes for all levels, guided by expert instructors. They emphasize both technical skills and social connections, fostering lasting friendships. Beyond the studio, they engage with Richmond's arts scene through social dances, workshops, and collaborations with local musicians.

Kara Leona is an emerging voice in bachata, blending heartfelt passion with global influences. Originally from Virginia, she discovered her deep connection to Latin music through lifelong friendships, travels, and immersive cultural experiences. Her journey led her across the world—from Australia to China and, most importantly, the Dominican Republic, where she fell in love with the soul-stirring rhythms of bachata.

REGGAETON & BACHATA SET

DJ ZACARRI is a rising DJ from Washington, D.C., specializes in Bachata and Salsa, known for his high-energy sets and genre versatility. In under a year, he’s DJed internationally, including at a major Bachata festival, and is a sought-after name in the D.C. scene, performing at top venues like The Salsa Room and BACHATOURS. He’s also played in multiple U.S. cities and Montreal, with more exciting opportunities on the horizon.
